The Seniors Network was formed in 2008. It is a non-profit, community planning table. Our sponsor agency is Community Services.
Meetings are held once every two months, with project groups meeting as needed. There is no cost to join and everyone is welcome!
Current sub-committees include our: Age-friendly Community Task Group; Dementia Friendly Community Task Group; Community Response Network (CRN) and our Executive Committee. One of our largest projects has been the construction and operation of the Intergenerational Garden at 22527 121 Ave. in Maple Ridge. For more on this, click here.
Over the years, the Seniors Network and its projects have received funding from various sources including: United Way of the Lower Mainland; New Horizons for Seniors Program; City of Maple Ridge; BC Health Living Alliance; Ministry of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development; TD Friends of the Environment Fund; Vancity; and the Whole Kids Foundation.
